1) A maximum of 3 - 4 persons in a group.
2) Students are not allowed to involve other students in their project (from different groups or other students not taking MGT 315 in the current semester).
3) Prepare both written report and presentation in English.
4) The followings are the report instructions:
4.1. Create a new/an innovative consumer product/service* or Improve existing consumer product/service by following these criteria:
4.1.1. Define the core benefits/services of the product that consumers seek.
For example, when you buy a Blackberry smartphone, you buy more than a handphone, e-mail device or personal organizer. You are buying freedom and on the go connectivity to people.
4.1.2. Product/service features.
Think of the features of Blackberry compared to other smartphones or Samsung TV compared to other televisions.
Dimensions, colour, shape, functions, etc.
For instance, a plasma television includes such features and benefits as:

4.1.3. A brand name.

4.1.4. A slogan (defining it for use with customers in one short, memorable and motivating sentence). Examples

4.1.5. List down all the materials required to create the product. Include the photos.
4.1.6. Describe the steps of how the product is created. Include the photos.
4.1.7. State the operating cost to produce the product/service.
4.1.8. State the market price of the product or the service charge.
4.1.9. State the place or where the product will be sold or where the service will be located.
4.1.10. List the way/strategies on how you promote the product/service.
4.2. The maximum page for the report is 20 pages, inclusive of:
4.2.1. Table of content.
4.2.2. Main page-product criteria.
4.2.3. Related photos.
4.2.4. Conclusion.
4.2.5. Reference

4.3. Submit a page of summary about the product in class before or on the 12th weeks. The lecturers need to know your idea for the product in general.
4.4. The final written report must be submitted a day before your presentation date.
5) The followings are the presentation guidelines:
5.1. Prepare a presentation slides about your product/service in English.
5.2. The slides should content the product criteria.
5.3. The duration for presentation is 20-30 minutes icluding Q&A session.
5.4. The presentation attire is formal i.e. formal dress code.
5.5. The presentation will be evaluated based on

5.6. The presentation weeks will be in Week 12-Week 14.
6) Late submission of the report will NOT be accepted and graded.
7) Marks will be deducted for both report and presentation that fail to follow the above requirements.
8) Marks will also be deducted for plagiarized projects.
